The Medtronic TC Mile elite race added more Minnesotans to the field, in addition to defending women's champ Heather Kampf and current US men's road mile champ Garrett Heath, indoor mile champion Will Leer is also scheduled to be on the starting line May 9 in downtown Minneapolis.
Team USA Minnesota's Jamie Cheever has already announced she will be running, and she's joined by teammates Meghan Peyton, Jon Peterson, and former Gopher and Lakeville North standout Elizabeth Yetzer, who ran the fastest time for Minnesota mile/1600 runners in 2005 of 4:41.42, and runs for Run N Fun.
The Medtronic TC Mile is the fifth stop on the inaugural Bring Back the Mile Tour that
includes 14 events and one end-of-the-year gala held across the country and
throughout the year.
