World-class distance runners will flock to Massachusetts this weekend for the Boston Marathon. While Monday's full marathon is undoubtedly the main attraction, the Sunday races also attract strong fields. Team USA Minnesota will send a group of runners to these shorter races at Boston, including Andrew Carlson (5k), Gabriele Anderson (mile) and Heather Kampf (mile).
Kampf and Anderson both bring stellar credentials to the mile race. In 2012 Heather Kampf was the USA road mile champion. Gabriele Anderson finished fourth in the Olympic Trials at 1500 meters, just missing a chance to represent the United States in London.

Yes/No: Will Gabriele Anderson and/or Heather Kampf finish in the top three at the BAA Invitational Mile on Sunday?
Gabriele Anderson has posted personal bests of 2:02.83 for 800, 4:04.84 for 1500 and 4:26.5 for the mile. Heather Kampf has run 2:00.41, 4:12.09 and 4:27.8 for the same distances.
In the 2012 edition of the BAA Invitational Mile Gabriele Anderson finished in third place, running 4:46.3 in a race won by Morgan Uceny
The 2013 field is led by Ethiopian Kalkidan Gezahegne, 2010 IAAF Indoor World Champion in the 1500 Meters and owner of a 4:00.97 personal best in the 1500. In addition to Kampf and Anderson, there is a group of top-notch Americans aiming for a victory: 2012 Olympian Geena Gall, Brenda Martinez and Chelsea Reilly are all in the race. The field is rounded out by Bernard Lagat's sister—Violah Lagat.
