Wayzata and Willmer Top Two Girl's Teams; Wayzata and Edina Finish One-Two in the Boy's Race; Bethany Hasz Wins Girl's 5K; Joe Klecker Third in Boy's 5K

Defending NXN Champions Wayzata(96) and Willmer(126) finished, one-two in the girl's team competition, while the Hasz twins qualified as individuals for NXN Nationals. Edina was third in the team race with 138 points. "It has been an awesome cross country season," Tweeted Edina girl's coach Matt Gabrielson. "Huge congrats to Edina Boys. Very proud of my girls squadron. They run like champs every time."

MSHSL Class AA Champ Bethany Hasz won the girl's NXN individual 5K race in 17:06, her second course record following her MSHSL girl's course record from last Saturday.  MSHSL Class AA runner-up Joe Klecker finished third in the boy's NXN 5K race in 15:12.5.  Live results are HERE.

Wayzata boy's completed the sweep by defeating Edina for the team title( 92 to 127) with Klecker grabbing an individual spot for NXN Nationals.  Woodbury's Nick Wareham missed qualifying by one spot as he was sixth overall in 15:17.8.  He may still make the cut as runners can petition for entry into NXN Nationals if they are not on the top two Regional teams or top five non-team qualifiers in the individual competition.

Nationals and John(right) helped Augustana to the NSIC team title on Saturday. 

In earlier races, Highland Park's Micah Mather, running for the Twin Cities Track Club, won the Green race in 16:20.9.  Green race results are HERE.

Willmar's Nadar Yusuf won the boy's Black 5K in 15:59.7.  Black race results are HERE.  Results from the Black and Green races were combined HERE.

Mounds View's Rachel Clark was second in the girl's Green 5K in 19:23.2.  Results are HERE.

Edina's Madeline Lawler won the girl's Black 5K in 19:30.8.  Results are HERE.
