Minnesota Vaulters Place High at JO Nationals

Northfield's Alexis Kiefer tied for second in a tight competition in the Women's 17-18 pole vault at the USATF Junior Olympics in Texas on Friday.  Kiefer cleared 3.90m/12'9.5".  MSHSL Class A PV champion Andrianna Jacobs finished fifth in the event, clearing the same height.  Kally Long won the title clearing 4.05m/13'3.5" with the next four vaulters all at the same height with places decided on fewer misses.
