Sioux Falls Leads Men, Wayne State Top Women After Opening Day of NSIC Championships: Photos added

Sioux Falls leads the men's competition with 55 points, MSU Mankato is second with 48 after day one of the NSIC Outdoor Track Championships in Winona.  Mankato's Chris Reed won both the shot put (18.48m/60'7.75") and hammer throw(65.81215'11")

Four teams are in a tight race for the women's title.  Wayne State College has the lead with 45 points,  UMD is second with 43.83 and U-Mary third with 36.33   Sioux Falls has 31 and MSU Mankato  27.33.  UMD's Samatha Rivard won the 10K in 35:50.74 and qualified first in
the 1,500 prelims in 4:45.69.
