Amelia Campbell Wins DIII Heptathlon: NCAA DII and DIII Results

Carleton's Amelia Campbell completed her sweep of NCAA indoor and outdoor multi event titles scoring 5221 points.  (Carleton release on Campbell's accomplishment is HERE. Day I recap is HERE) Concordia Moorhead's Cherae Reeves  placed third in the women shot with a throw of 14.89m/48'10.25".  Her teammate Olivia Johnson finished ninth(13.69m/44'11") and St. Scholastica's Becky Huberty finished tenth(13.51/44'4").

St. Thomas' Maxwell Dunne placed sixth in the decathlon with 6749 points.  St. Scholastica's Kevin Wagner was 14th with 6526 points. Gustavus' Cameron Clause finished 17th with 6335 points.  Macalester's Logan Hovie took 11th in the high jump clearing 2.03m/6'8".  Full results are HERE.

In qualifying heats, St. Thomas' Mallory Burnham had the fourth fastest time in the women's 100m hurdles in 14.11 and was sixth fastest in the 100 in 11.96 to move on to the finals in both events.  In the women's 800 St Thomas' Kayla Goeman had the ninth fastest time of 2:09.72 to advance to the final.  Carleton's Marcus Huderle ran9:09.16 the ninth fastest in the steeple to qualify for the finals. St. Ben's Alison Kosobud did not advance finishing 19th in 2:13.30.  St. Thomas' Ryan Trapp also failed to advance placing 18th in the men's 800 in 1:54.42.

In the team competition, St. Thomas remains tied for 11th with 8 points.  For the women, Carleton is sixth with 10 points.  St. Scholastica and Concordia Moorhead are tied for 11th with 6 points.  Augsburg is tied for 29th with 4 points. In DII MSU Mankato's Chris Reed placed fifth in the discus with a personal best of 54.74m/179'7" to put his men's team in 11th in the team standings with 9 points.  Winona State's Caitlyn Zepczyk was 14th in the women's discus with a toss of 44.51m/146'.

In the qualifying rounds Reed's teammate Jerrell Hancock advanced in the 200 with the seventh fastest time of 21.08 and  110 hurdler Myles Hunter made the final with a time of 14.07, the third fastest time in qualifying.  U-Mary's 4 by 400 relay had the fourth fastest time of 3:43.55 to advance to the finals.
 MSU Moorhead's Tia Knight got the last qualifying spot in the 100 hurdles of 14.07.  U-Mary's Janet Johnson was 11th fastest in the 100H in 14.18.  U-Mary's Brienna Lynch did not advance in the 800 prelims placing 21st in 2:14.28.
