Shawn Francis Takes Second in the Pole Vault at the US Champs

Former Hastings and NDSU grad Shawn Francis set personal best in taking second at US Championships this weekend.   Qualifying mark for entry to the World Championships in 5.75m,  Francis vaulted 5.55m, as did each of the top three at US Nationals with the places decided by fewer misses at that height.
