Gabriele Anderson won the 1500 at the Madrid IAAF World Challenge meet in 4:08.54 on Saturday. The US's Morgan Uceny was second in 4:10.63. Results are HERE. Hassan Mead set his second PR this season in the 5K at the KBC Nacht meet in Belgium. Mead ran 13:11. 80, a best by nearly four seconds. The top ten men, including four Americans, all ran under the A qualifying standard of 13:15 and Ryan Hill booked his spot on the US team for Moscow by finishing tenth in 13:14.22. In other events, Ben Blankenship was fourth in the B heat of the 1500 in 3:38.22, his fastest time this season. Garrett Heath finished sixth and Will Leer 14th in the A heat of the 1500. Heath ran 3:36.70, Leer 3:41.32. In the 5K B race Elliott Heath ran 13:27.60 and finished second. .27 of a second out of first.
