Farewell to DNT's Kevin Pates

It seems somewhat fitting that Grandma's Race Director Scott Keenan and the Duluth News Tribune's Kevin Pates retired in the same year from their respective duties.  Keenan is the engine that drove Grandma's and Pates chronicled the history of the event.  A tribute column for Pates in the DNT is HERE.  Pates' final article on Kara Goucher is HERE.
