TCTC Hosts All Comers Track Meets

The Twin Cities Track Club will be hosting All Comers Track Meets at Southwest High School with the  support of Gear Running Store and Brooks. Participation is free for all youth, ages 18 & under and all proceeds from adult registrations & donations will help fund Southwest High School’s “Turn on the Lights” campaign.

These events are family-friendly and open to ALL ages & abilities.

Dates: June 12, July 10, August 7

Location: Southwest High School Track (3414 W 47th St, Minneapolis, MN 55410)

Registration: Meet registration will begin on the Monday prior to each meet at Gear Running Store. All youth who pre-register at Gear (starting the Monday prior to the meet) receive free registration and a free spike bag from Brooks. Day-of-event registration begins at 5:30 at Southwest High School. Registration is $5 with all proceeds going to the Southwest High School “Turn on the Lights” campaign.

Meet 1- June 12: Registration will start at Gear Running Store at 10 am on June 10 and continue until 4 pm on Wednesday June 12.

Meet 2- July 10: Registration will start at Gear Running Store at 10 am on July 8 and continue until 4 pm on Wednesday July 10.

Meet 3- August 7: Registration at Gear Running Store from 10 am August 5 until 4 pm Wednesday August 7.

Schedule: Day-of-event registration will begin at 5:30 pm. Events will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.

6:00 – Long Jump
6:00 – Shot Put
6:00 – Kids 60 meters
6:15 – 100 meters
6:30 – High Jump
6:40 – 400 meters
7:00 – Mile
7:20 – 200 meters
7:40 – 800 meters
8:00 – Distance Relay* (June 12- 3000, July 10- 5000, August 7- 10000)

*The distance relay is a two-person relay with exchanges every lap. The distance relay is limited to twelve two-person teams, so pre-registration is recommended if you want to participate.

Event Divisions: All youth ages fourteen & under will be placed in heats by age. We will provide ribbons for all participants age fourteen & under. All other participants will compete in our open events, including high school and masters competitors.

Implements: We provide limited implements for the shot put. You may bring your own.
