The MSU Mankato men scored 31 points to finish fifth in the NCAA DII Indoor Track Championships this weekend in Birmingham, AL. MSU Moorhead finished 28th with seven points. U- Mary was ninth with 25 points in the women's competition with UM Duluth scoring three points to finish 39th and the MSU Mankato women with two points in 45th.
U-Mary's Melissa Agnew won the mile in 4:46.94. MSU Mankato's Jerrell Hancock was runner-up in the 200 in 21.17, while MSU Moorhead's Derek Bredy finished fourth in the 200 in 21.39 and seventh in the 400 in 47.86. Bredy also led off the Moorehead 4 by 400 relay team that finished 11th. Christopher Reed of MSU Mankato was second in the shot with a toss of 18.41m(60' 5"), and the Winona State women's 4 by 400 relay team finished 12th in 3:48.73.
