MIAC XC Opening Competition Results

St. Thomas men's XC team won the Summit Cup meet with Macalester College on Friday, August 31.  Sophomore Keaton Wendroth of St. Thomas finished first in 19:34 for the 6K course at the St. Catherine's University campus.  Ben Mayhew was the first Macalester finisher in seventh in 20:35.  Full results are available HERE. Also on Friday, Concordia College won the Valley City State Invitational(VCSI)  with the Cobbers Brad McConn winning the individual title in 16:05 for the 5K course.  Full results are HERE.

Bethel won the triangular meet with St. Olaf and Augsburg Saturday, September 1, at Riverview Park in Minnneapolis.  Augsburg's Michael Tesema finished first in 15:35 for the 5 K course.  Full results are HERE. St. Mary's men won the St. Mary's University(SMU) Invitational on Saturday in Winona, led by senior Peter Borash in first in 21:16 for the four-mile course. Among the women, Concordia won the team title at the VCSI, led by individual race runner-up Hann Knickerbocker who finished the 4K course in 15:01 on Friday.  Full results are HERE. St. Kates finished third the same day in  a 5K triangular meet at St. Benedict.  Freshman Emily Sweet was the top finisher for the Wildcats in tenth in 19:47.  Full results are HERE.

Augsburg beat Bethel by one point in their dual meet at Riverside Park on Saturday.  The Auggies Lauren Rice finished first in 19:12 on the 5K course. Full results are HERE. No team scores were kept for the St. Olaf/Macalester 4K time trial, but full individual results are HERE. The St. Mary's University women were third in the SMU Invitational, led by 18th place finisher Katie Stolz in 21:48 for the 5K course.  Full results are HERE.
