Grandma's and Politics

Politics has entered the world of running and it's connected to Grandma's Marathon.  Seems that Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan, from our neighbor state of Wisconsin, said during an interview that he had run a marathon in under three hours.  The interviewer did not follow up for details, but Runner's World's Scott Douglas did.  He tracked down a Paul Ryan who had finished Grandma's in 1991 in 4:01:25.  Ryan's staff confirmed that it was indeed the Congressman, and that he had not run a sub-three hour marathon.  The story got play in the New Yorker HERE.  The Runner's World link is HERE.
