Yes/No: Gabrielson Top-Seven in Ireland?

Matt Gabrielson will travel to Dublin this weekend for Ireland's premier 10k run. The Great Ireland Run has attracted such luminaries as Craig Mottram and Sonia O'Sullivan over the years and will serve as Ireland's 10k National Championship.

This year the men's elite list includes defending champion Martin Fagan, former IAAF World Cross Country silver medalist Sergey Lebid, and 2004 Olympic 1500 bronze medalist Rui Silva. Gabrielson is running the race as part of his his preparations for Grandma's Marathon in June.

Matt Gabrielson has a road 10k personal best of 28:44. In 2011, Gabrielson finished 19th at the USA Cross Country Championships in February and then placed 20th in the USATF 15k Championships on March 12th.

My answer: Yes

Last week's question was: Will Aaron Studt throw sixty feet or further in the shot put on Saturday? The answer was no. Studt threw 57-4 3/4 to place third at the Jim Click Shootout on Saturday. Nineteen contestants answered correctly this week. Chris Rivers and Rachel Karel answered correctly and are tied for first with seven points.

  1. The answer is yes. Matt Gabrielson finished directly behind teammate Andrew Carlson as the two went 5-6 at the Great Ireland Run.
