The Gopher track teams are back in action this week with most of their squads participating at the over-sized indoor track at Iowa State. The Gopher men's team is currently ranked #31 in the USTFCCCA National Team Rankings. The men are preparing to defend their Big Ten title in Illinois in just two weeks.
The Gophers have strength and depth throughout the events this year and are always especially powerful in the throws. We will check out one of their key weight men this week with this question...

To play our game, simply type "yes" or "no" into the subject line of an e-mail and send it to us at DtBFantasy [AT] gmail [DOT] com before 2:00 P.M. CST, Saturday, February 12th. Please put your answers in the subject line of the e-mail and make sure your full name appears somewhere in the e-mail. We will offer a bonus for participants making their 2011 debut in Yes/No - a correct answer will be worth two points for anyone who has not played yet this year.
My answer: Yes
Last week's question was: Will any Team USA Minnesota runners finish in the top six at the 2011 USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday? The answer was no. Andrew Carlson finished 8th and Matt Gabrielson was 19th for the men. On the women's side, Meghan Armstrong and Jamie Cheever finished back-to-back in 15th and 16th. This week marked the highest number of Yes/No participants ever with 47 players making a guess. Sixteen answered correctly and there are now thirteen contestants tied for first place with two points.

The answer is no. Trey Davis threw just shy of 56 feet (55-6 1/2).
