Team USA Minnesota's Katie McGregor, winner of three USA titles in 2010 including recent USA 10 Mile Championship, finished 3rd at Monday's USA W0men's 10K in Boston.
Molly Huddle, the American record-holder for 5000-meters on the track, won the race in 32:00. Three-time Olympian Jen Rhines, rebounding from a tough outing at the USA 10 Mile, was runner-up in 32:16. McGregor ran 32:45
Former University of Minnesota all-American Megan Duwell was 7th in 33:39. McGregor's teammate Meghan Armstrong finished 14th in 34:43

"They made a move but I didn't have that next little gear to go with them," McGregor, who lost contact with the leaders around 4 miles, said. "I fought to stay as close as I could to the lead pack and not let anyone get by me. I can't complain about third place when I'm beat by a three-time Olympian and an American record-holder."
With one USA Women's Championship left to run, McGregor leads the 2010 USA Running Circuit with 55 points. Renee Metivier-Baillie is 2nd with 34 points; Magdalena Lewy-Boulet has 31.

Next up for McGregor is the USA Women's Marathon Championships held in conjunction with the ING New York City Marathon on November 7.
