Yes/No: Will Dorniden break 2:01.7 in Switzerland?

Many top Minnesotan distance runners are in Europe chasing fast times and great competition this summer. Notable results include Garrett Heath running 1:47 in Italy and Gabriele Anderson running a 1500 PR in Belgium. There are two big meets this weekend with Stockholm featuring Usain Bolt versus Tyson Gay on Friday and Jeremy Wariner at Lucerne on Sunday.

Another runner with Minnesota ties in Europe is Heather Dorniden. Dorniden ran 2:01.7 in both Italy and Belgium in July and will compete in the 800 at Lucerne, Switzerland on Sunday. Let us know how fast will she run...

Y/N: Will Heather Dorniden break 2:01.70 at Lucerne on Sunday?

Heather Dorniden won the NCAA National title indoors in the 800 in 2006. She was a seven time All-American at the University of Minnesota. Dorniden now runs for Team USA-MN and was third in the 800 at the USA Indoor Championships in February. Her best 800 time is 2:01.05.

Information on the Lucerne meet is HERE

My answer: Yes

The fantasy contest question from last week was: Will Scott Jurek finish in the top five at the White River 50 Mile Endurance Run on Saturday? The answer was yes. Jurek finished in fourth place with a time of 7:02. Twenty-one contestants answered correctly and Lori Anne Peterson
continues to move up the standings. She is now in a three-way tie for first place.
