Lehmkuhle, Vega to Tune-Up in the Big Easy

Team USA Minnesota athletes Jason Lehmkuhle and Antonio Vega will tune up for the centerpiece race of their spring season by running the 32nd Crescent City Classic 10K this Saturday.

The Easter weekend race in New Orleans draws more than 7000 participants and has a reputation for fast times. The race starts in the city's French Quarter and finishes in City Park.

Lehmkuhle has a road best in the 10K of 28:54, while Vega's personal best at the distance on the roads is 29:05. Both athletes set their PRs at the Peachtree 10K in Atlanta.

Both Lehmkuhle and Vega are using the New Orleans race as preparation for the Boston Marathon on April 19.

Earlier this year, Lehmkuhle won the Mercedes Half Marathon in Birmingham and finished fourth at the USA 15k Championships in Jacksonville, Florida.

Vega, this season, has won the USA Half Marathon Championships in Houston, placed eighth at the
USA Cross Country Championships, and finished third at the USA 15k Championships.
