Gopher Men Defend Big Ten Indoor Title


Powered Sunday by individual victories from Ben Blankenship (above), Harun Abda, R.J. McGinnis, and Aaron Studt, the University of Minnesota men's track and field team defended it's Big Ten Indoor title with a comprehensive victory at home in the Griak Fieldhouse.

Winning the meet with 162.5 points, the Gophers topped runners-up Ohio State which tallied 106.5 and third placers Wisconsin which scored 83.

The Gopher women's weren't as fortunate at their Big Ten Championships, finishing 4th with 82 points. Hosts Penn State won the meet with 111 points, Ohio State scored 88 points, Indiana tallied 83.
