Twin Cities Marathon Should Close This Week

Registration for this year's Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon is on track to close this week, race officials announced yesterday. Less than 500 spots in the race remained as of Tuesday morning.

The race has a field limit of 11,000 runners. Runners from all 50 states and 16 countries have registered for the October 4 event, which will serve as the 2009 USA Women's and Masters Marathon Championships.

TCM was ranked the 9th largest marathon in the country in 2008 according to number of finishers. For more information, visit mtcmarathon.org.
