Northwest Open pole vault champs Alicia Rue and Ben Peterson of the University of Minnesota earned co-Big Ten Field Event Athlete of the Week honors yesterday, the conference announced.Rue (pictured), who won the event with a 13-3 1/2 clearance, shared her award with Indiana shot putter Tiffany Howard.
Peterson, who soared 17-4 1/2 last Saturday, shared his honor with Penn State high jumper Ryan Fritz.
