One last item from Duluth ...Online registration for the 20th annual Fitger’s 5K Run & Walk opens this morning. Athletes interested in competing in the Saturday, April 18 event, should visit the Grandma's Marathon web-site, HERE.
Fitger’s 5K registration will be conducted online exclusively for the first time. The 2009 field is limited to the first 1,500 and there will be no race day registration.
The race, which drew a record 1,355 registrants last year. All net proceeds from the event benefit the Young Athletes Foundation, a Grandma's Marathon program that focuses on the promotion and development of youth athletics in the Duluth and Superior region.
