2004 U.S. Olympic Team member Carrie Tollefson will race the 1500m in Saturday's American Milers' Club High Performance meet in Indianapolis in a last ditch attempt to secure a qualifying time for the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials to be contested in two weeks.
The qualifying window for the Trials closes on Sunday.
The Team USA Minnesota star missed notching a qualifier by less than a second last weekend at the USATF - Minnesota Open and Masters Championships at Hamline University in St. Paul. There, she clocked 4:20.14; the Olympic Trials "B" Standard is 4:19.50.
Sicne she resumed competing in February, Tollefson has been in a race regain top form after dealing with a serious abdominal injury in 2007.
Qualifiers ... Track & Field News recently published these lists of WOMEN'S and MEN'S Olympic Trials qualifiers, as of June 10.
