2016 Minnesota Track & Field Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony set for February 19, 2016.  Elite Athletes Lynn Nelson Stott,  Debbie Thometz Leyden, and Veteran Athlete Tom Langenfeld are this year's inductees.

Weekly NCAA Top Ten List

Several Minnesota athletes and teams grabbed on spot on last week's Top Ten listing of performances.

As the events aren't run frequently indoors the participants in the Twin Ports Invitational: UMD, U-W Superior, Bemidji State, and St. Scholastica took all the spots in the 4 by 1600 and spring medley relays.

In the open events the Gopher men's Mitch Hecksel and women's Tatania Markland had the 7th fastest times in the 600 meter run.  Mason Ferlic was 10th fastest in the 3K.

Stats for US Olympic Trials Marathon Qualifiers

Interesting stats about the qualifiers for the Olympic Marathon Trials HERE.

For the men: Medtronic TC Marathon and Grandma's had the second and third largest number of qualifiers meeting the standard in their races.

41% of the qualifiers did it by running a marathon.
59% qualified by running a half marathon

For the women: TCM had the third largest number of qualifiers. Grandma's was fourth.
80.3% of the women qualified by running a marathon. 19.7% qualified in the half marathon.
